McGinley's golf clubs, Ryder Cup items, stolen from car

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Europe Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley had his golf clubs & some Ryder Cup mementos stolen from his car not long after arriving for the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that McGinley went from the airport to Ocean Beach to obtain some fresh air & have lunch. When he returned to his car outside the restaurant, he was found the back window shattered.

McGinley says his golf clubs & travel bag, a carry-on bag, travel documents & his passport were taken. He says the thief moreover took Ryder Cup items he had set aside for a charity auction. The Irishman was testing new equipment on Tuesday.
