3 quakes shake Alaska's largest city, but no damage reports

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP)-The largest Alaskan town was stunned by three earthquakes on the early Saturday morning, but no immediate damage confirmed.

Just before 3:30 a.m., the largest of the three was noted at 5:0.

The Alaska Earthquake Center says that a shake of 3.9 minutes later followed.

The third earthquake was in magnitude 4.4 at 6:00 a.m.

All three quakes clustered about 20 miles north of Anchorage (32 kilometres).

They were both about 25 miles (40 kilometres) deep.

The center says that all three quakes have been felt about 45 miles (72 km) northerly from Anchorage, in the wider anchorage field and Wasilla.
