Myanmar reports more than 2,000 daily coronavirus cases in new record

YANGON (Reuters) — The Ministry of Health of Myanmar has recorded record daily rises in 2,1 58 new cases of coronavirus and 32 new deaths on Saturday.

South-East Asia has shut down its largest area, Yangon, and the nation has stopped air and land transport.

In Myanmar there have been a total of 26,064 cases and 598 fatalities, most of them since the second wave started at mid August.

On November 8, the nation is planning for a general election.
