Bungling US Bank Robber's $20,000 Slip-Up

Bungling US Bank Robber's $20,000 Slip-Up

A series of blunders helped police capture this hapless bank robber as he attempted to escape with more than $20,000 (£12,000).

Firstly he dropped the loot on the floor of the bank in Maryland, a suburb of Washington DC.

He then took up valuable time collecting the cash into an upturned umberella he found on the floor.

After eventually making his getaway, he slipped on ice & cut his head open.

Still he managed to make it to the getwaway car – yet all the delays caught up with him as police managed to stop the vehicle & make the arrest.

According to the Baltimore Sun, 42-year-old Robert C Williams was charged with robbery. A mug shot released by the Laurel Police Department showed him with a bandage on his head.
