Australia's Will Genia to undergo right knee surgery

BRISBANE, Australia (AP) — Australia halfback Will Genia will undergo minor surgery on an injured right knee & will miss the team's next Rugby Championship match against Argentina.

The 58-test veteran played only the first half of Australia's 24-20 win over South Africa on Saturday, limping off at halftime with what scans revealed as bone bruising & ligament damage.

The Australian Rugby Union said Sunday that Rob Horne, who has a calf strain, will moreover miss the Argentina match next Saturday in Mendoza.

p>Australia coach Michael Cheika said he was confident Genia will be available for selection after in the tournament.

Nick Cummins & Nic White were named Sunday as their replacements. James Hanson & prop Tetera Faulkner were moreover added to the 31-man squad for the trip to South America.
